Volunteers are needed to help with the Girls Leadership
Project, which helps young South Asian women develop
awareness of themselves through examining issues
that are important to them (i.e., family and social
relationships, body image, peer pressure, education,
goal setting) and to strengthen their leadership
skills.
Volunteer
Positions Available
- Workshop
Facilitators (topics include: Nutrition, Self
Defense, Physical Exercise/Health, Creative
Writing, Photography, Sexual Health and Arts)
- Assist
with layout/editing/graphic design of girls'
newsletter or magazine
- Field
trip chaperones
To
volunteer for this position, the following skills
are needed:

Previous experience working with adolescent
females
- Expert
in Workshop Topic
- Responsible,
reliable, organized, and creative
Location
These volunteer positions will take place at the
SAYA! Center and/or outside venues.
